Returning pedophile tests Canada's protection over Children internationally


Christopher Neil, a former teacher from Maple Ridge was arrested upon arriving to Vancouver from a jail in Thailand. He was placed on a sex offender registry since a bill was passed when he was away. Although he was not guilty to four unrelated counts of child pornography and molesting, he pleaded guilty to kidnapping and sexually abusing a nine and thirteen year old (in Thailand.)

This relates to law 12 because it includes Child Exploitation. Christopher Neil was charged with assault to more than one minor. He committed a crime, which consists of Mens Rea and Actus Reus. I believe that this crime should be dealt with because justice should be served with each and every case of assault.

    I'd say in this case the Mens Rea would be more strong towards the crime, just a thought> Scary to think about!
