Gang related shooting sparks Surrey police Crackdown

Craig Widdifield, 28, was shot to death in Surrey near the Steve Nash Fitness Center. This is connected to numerous gang-related shootings that has occurred in Surrey. The Surrey RCMP Chief believes that the shooting was a result of a "turf war" over drugs and drug money. The RCMP will begin to target nearby businesses to caution their associations with gang members. In addition to these warnings, there will be a request to allow police officers to share identities of gang members to ban them from certain places.

This article shows the police wanting to pass a legislation to keep gangsters away from certain areas. As it does protect businesses and the people in the community, I do think it sparks some issues. In my opinion, I think that some of these gangsters are seen as a stereotype.
