Manitoba Teen shot by Friend


Four friends were camping out in Namay Falls when one of them was startled by what he thought was a bear and shot it. The bear was actually one of the friends who happened to be a 17-year-old boy. Investigation is on-going.

Although this is a short post, it really caught my attention. Not only in cases of friends killing friends, but with the charges that have to be made upon the friend.

    I wonder what kind of sentences are handed out for accidental manslaughter, especially for a minor.

    I wonder the same thought as Simon. You actually didn't state if the person who shot the boy was a minor as well so I'm also wondering how old the shooter is?
