Woman charged for neglecting cat
A woman from Ontario is charged for neglecting her obese 12 year old cat. The cat was matted with feces and his skin was so irritated with open sore that it had to be put down. The sentence for animal abuse is "The maximum provincial sentence is two years in jail, a $60,000 fine and a lifetime ban on keeping animals."
This article is related to law 12 because it relates to a different kind of criminal offense. Also, it is rare to see someone heavily charged with animal cruelty.

If that's the case, I'm wondering how many more offenders are out there... I'm pro-animal life and it's just heart breaking to hear stories like this.
ReplyDeletePeople like that woman should not have animals. If you can't care for them, don't have them. RIP cat.
